Suzi, Kelly & Cindy
Suzi who holds a Bachelor of Early Childhood Education, has extensive experience working across all groups in a variety of early childhood settings. Suzi has been a part of the Prior Street team since the centre's opening. Prior to this she'd worked as the Preschool teacher at our Carina Heights Centre from 1999. Suzi believes that establishing trusting and caring relationships with the children and their families while providing a play based program in the Preschool Room enabled children to develop confident self-identities making the transition to school a positive experience. In her usual support role at Prior Street, Suzi loves having the opportunity to work across all the age groups in the relief teacher position - being a part of the children's journey through their very important early years of learning. Importantly, her role working throughout the centre provides continuity of care for children; engaging in meaningful interactions with them as she support children to make decisions and to see themselves as successful learners.
Kelly who joined Prior Street Child Care and Development in July 2018, has worked in child care for over 20 years. She holds a Diploma of Children’s Services and a Diploma in Community Services. Kelly has proven skills in understanding child development, positive guidance and working in partnerships with families to get the best possible development outcomes for each child in her care. She is passionate about making connections with each child and their families and providing an environment that promotes discovery, learning and exploration.
Cindy joined Prior Street in 2008, this was 12 months after her early childhood career began. She has worked as the assistant educator in the nursery since her commencement. She loves working in the babies room and likes to make all the parents and children feel welcome at the centre. She believes each child is unique and respects this individuality. Further, she believes all children deserve trust, respect, love, attention and care; and that they should feel happy and safe in the child care environment. Cindy came to live in Australia from Singapore in 1988. She is Mum to a teenage daughter and son.
